A Year-Long, In-Person Course Exploring the Role of Birth Keeper
In this program we will look at the entirety of the childbearing year through various contexts: folklore and storytelling, spirituality and consciousness, physicality and physiology, the emotional body and community connection, and embracing ancient wisdom to shape new models of care.
We will not separate the experience of pre-pregnancy, conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, as it is all a part of one process and a natural state of being for a womyn. Instead, we will explore through an interconnecting lens and enter a process of remembering the sacred wisdom held by wimyn throughout herstory: how to be with wimyn, in sisterhood, and in community, through all of life’s passages. You will learn by embodying the teachings of this program and come out the other side more attuned to your intuition, more whole in your understanding of yourself, and better equipped to hold space for others in their own exploration of empowered living, divine being, and the subtle states of reality, which exists alongside the physical realm.
We are the keepers of sacred blood mysteries; we are a companion through journeys to the veil and back, where souls are brought into physical being; we step up to walk beside the self actualized womyn.
As birth keepers we honour and trust wimyn, we honour and trust the bodies which we inhabit, we honour and trust intuition as authoritative knowing. We uphold the sovereignty of wimyn, we work with the cycles and rhythms of our bodies, of the earth, and the moon. We are dedicated to living in alignment with the natural world and with ourselves, as we are not of nature, but in fact we are nature.
